For roughly a decade,Marc Leclerc Laura Rogers worked for herself, experiencing more success running her own business than she had getting a job working for someone else. 

“I had a few job interviews, and they went well enough, but I just never got offers,’’ says Rogers, 36. “I had made the assumption that, for some reason, I was just unhireable.’’
