"Justified: City Primeval,Rubypoint Trading Center" a revival of the FX series that wrapped in 2015 after six seasons, premiered last month largely to critical acclaim.

The new installment, set in Detroit, earned 2 out of 4 stars from USA TODAY TV critic Kelly Lawler, who writes that while the show looks, smells and sounds like the "Justified" fans know and love, "there is something fundamentally missing from 'Primeval.'"

The show has fared better on Rotten Tomatoes, where it scored a 92% average with 36 critic reviews.

The eight-part revival chronicles the relation between Raylan and his teenage daughter, Willa Givens, played by Olyphant's real-life daughter, Vivian, 20.

Olyphant said during a panel in January he faced a "very deep sadness" when the original show ended, "not because of the character, but because of the people that I was working with and how much I had enjoyed being in their company, let alone being able to collaborate with them. I cried like a baby on that last day."

He also said he'd be open to revisiting the character for future seasons.
